Girlfriends Guide 2

Because Homeschooling Is A Lifestyle

How do you do it all?

October 24, 2008

Whew! What a whirlwind! We started school off with a bang this year. Our homeschool athletic association added volleyball this year. We are now up to football, cheerleading, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and coming soon…..soccer! We ventured into the world of volleyball right before we even started back to school. It was amazing fun! We learned a lot as most of our team had never played before except for knocking around. But I wouldn’t trade a minute of it. Next up on the sports agenda…..basketball!
One question I get asked about is how do you do it all? With homeschooling 3 kids, church commitments for myself and my kids, homeschool activities and commitments and all the sports that our whole family participates in. That list could go on, as it could for every family and we’re not the only family with this crazy schedule. So, how do we do it?
That’s something that’s a work in progress. There are definitely days, ok, weeks when I wonder. But, more and more everyone is getting busier. Or is that our kids are just getting older? The older our kids get, the busier they become with what will become their own lives. So, I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon, just picking up more steam!
Over the next few posts or so I’ll be sharing some of my tips for fitting it all in. I hope you’ll join in and share some of your tips as well.
