Ok, now that I’ve gotten your attention!  How long has it been since you bought a new type of makeup?  Do you know how to use it?  When was the last time you picked up a magazine and looked at the new way to do your makeup?  Probably a while!

At least if you’re a mom anyway.  We get stuck in a rut and times have changed.  It’s time to try something new!  It’s time to update your look!  I don’t care if you’re wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans (which is classic and my favorite) you can still update your look by changing your makeup.

I just bought Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk.  I’ve looked at the line for a couple of months and decided to buy it Friday.  Today, I’m trying it out for the first time.  I can’t wait!  I’m not plugging that product, just the thought of trying something new.  Not sure how to wear the new looks in makeup?  Go to Maybelline lessons and learn all the new tips and tricks with their video lessons.  They are so cool! Doesn’t matter if you use their products or not; just learn something new and then try it out!  Then tell me something new you tried or a new product or color.  Can’t wait to hear from you!

  1. I’m going to try a different foundation this week (Almay pressed). It was on sale, so I figured what the heck! Yes, I know foundation is “boring”, but it is “different” anyhow!

    • I don’t think that’s boring:) I broke down and tried a new color of foundation this spring, although it was still the same brand and same type I’ve used for years. I was still really excited. I’ve used Merle Norman foundation since I was 13 years old and never knew this color existed until I went to a different store. You would’ve thought I was kid in a candy store. My poor hubby just laughed at me! But I love my new color! Hope your new foundation works for you. You’ll have to let me know, maybe I’ll try it!

  2. I have not worn any makeup in a long long long time ( 20 years maybe?) don’t think I will start now LOL I can not seem to bring myself to spend money on it. I have always been comfortable in my skin though and do not find the need to wear it, however I love doing my girls up when they ask! 🙂

    • I love that you are so comfortable:) I wish I was more like that. I do find myself getting a little closer to it since I’m getting older and venturing out more without my makeup. I’ve never felt completely comfortable, but maybe one day I will. But on the flip side, I’m also becoming more adventurous with it again. Strange huh? Maybe because I’m just ready to be me again and probably because of my girls. I love doing my girls makeup too when I get the chance. You’re right! It’s so much fun!
