Drama ministry is one of my absolute favorite things! It can be crazy stressful, fun, silly, eye-rolling, frustrating and a huge blessing all at the same time. It is my happy place. At least one of my happy places! But, if you've never done drama ministry or you're looking to start a drama ministry or do a children's Christmas play, this is the place! First things first! Pray about it. Pray about the direction you should go, pray about talking to your pastor, parents, the children, etc. Then go talk to your pastor about your desire to start a children's drama ministry or that you'd like to do a children's Christmas play. You may want to have the following information: Have an ... read more

Apple Pie
I love apple pie! When summer starts to wind down and everyone is screaming for pumpkin spice, I'm screaming for apple anything. Don't get me wrong. I love pumpkins, but I'm crazy about apples! I have been craving an apple pie and thankfully we just had our fall church picnic early and it gave me the perfect excuse to make an apple pie. Making an apple pie is so easy, most pies are, that there's no reason that anybody can't make one. Everyone can make a pie! If I can make a pie then you can too. The scariest thing is probably the crust, and if you're really freaked out about making your own, then buy a premade crust. There is no shame in buying a premade. I've done tons of time ... read more
A little update and I have a surprise!
It's a been a crazy few months this summer! I had to take a short break from blogging to focus on life a little bit. Over the summer, we've had two more surgeries in our house. My husband had rotator cuff surgery (his second one) and my son had his very first and hopefully his last surgery ever to remove a bone and reroute tendons in his foot. My life is never boring and I should have gone to med school! We've also been crazy busy doing 12 week VBS at our church on Sunday mornings. It was a blast! It was Toy Story Themed and I'll be posting pics soon and sharing more about what we did. But if you're interested, click here to see the curriculum. Did I mention that we bought a ... read more
Navy and Pink Homeschool Planner
If you haven't guessed by now, pink is my absolute favorite color. I think navy blue might be my second favorite and I love it when you put these two colors together. Maybe I have my bedroom remodel on my brain, but I decided to put together a new homeschool planner. It's a little different since it's landscaped instead of the usual portrait. But I love the idea of something a little different. This one a daily planner with two options. Option 1: Subject names all ready to go with room for two electives.Option 2: Blank subject names so you can fill them in however you like.Option 3: Sizes! For the first time ever I'm offering something other than the standard 8.5 x 11, although ... read more
Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Cookies
So I feel like one of those housewives in those old black and white movies today. You know the ones where the wife is running around like crazy with the kids, everything is a mess and the husband calls and says the boss will be coming over dinner? Yep, that's me today. Except thankfully the boss isn't coming to dinner. My hubby called at 11:14 am to ask me if I could please make a dessert for his referee cookout that's tonight and apparently he's supposed to bring a dessert. "Of course, no problem honey." Panic! "What in the world do I have that I can make on that short notice?" I said in Academy Sports while my oldest daughter is trying to help my youngest daughter decide on which ... read more
Greatest Showman Tablescape
Our women's group at church hosted a dinner recently for all the beautiful women of our church where one person from each table designed their table's theme. All of the tables were so pretty! My daughter, Emily, and I designed our table's theme. We had one problem though, we came up with so many ideas, it was really difficult to narrow it down. Our ideas were: Marvel/AvengersMovie ThemeHigh Cotton SouthernAladdinThe Greatest ShowmanWizard of OzAlice in WonderlandJurassic Park/Pretty DinosaursGreaseand many more! I think I see a theme in that list! It was such a hard decision, we wound up drawing from a hat, literally! I finally decided on The Greatest Showman and once we got ... read more
