Like hanging out with your best friend while you laugh and chat the day away. I love books like that and sometimes we just need to be able to curl up in our favorite chair and escape. Right now we might need that even more. I had started watching "Little Fires Everywhere" a couple of weeks ago, right before our state started its stay at home order, when ... read more

Homeschool Curriculum I’ve Used
Just in case you are trying to decide what homeschool curriculum to choose from, I decided to make a list of what I've used. I've done my best to include the main things I've used over the years. I was not paid to post any of this. Some of these I really loved and some were so-so. Everyone has their own opinion and preference. This is also not an exhaustive list of everything that I've used. As most homeschool moms know we kind of tend to try a good bit of curricula out until we find what we really like and what works. I'm also one of those homeschoolers that didn't use one brand that came prepackaged with all subjects except for the first few years. The first few years I ... read more
God’s Got This Printable Quote
With everything going on today I felt like making something a little inspirational to remind us that God's got our backs. I woke up today with an insane migraine partly because of all the stress from the Coronavirus, partly due to the stress my husband and kids are feeling and lastly because on top of all of this our water heater went out. After my headache subsided a little I remembered, that we are still healthy. Yes, this is a very serious time in our history, but God is here. You can see him all around. I see him as our local restaurants serve free meals to the children that are out of school and to the elderly. I see him in companies and individuals that have stepped up to make ... read more
Creative Ideas for Homeschool P.E.
It doesn't matter how old your kids are they need PE. I have to honest, I hated PE class when I was a kid. The only time I actually liked it was when we played volleyball or during middle school and we got to use the weight room. I was the girl in gym class that occasionally would tell the teacher that a got a "present" in the mail so I wouldn't have to do class. I was happy that I didn't have to take it in high school. Funny thing is I would work out at home, I just couldn't stand it in front of people. But enough of that story. Kids need PE, they need to exercise and move. They need it for their health, mentally and physically. As a homeschool parent, you have to option to be ... read more

Mom Guilt, Does It Ever Go Away?
The past three weeks have been slightly rough, to say the least. I've had a lot going on personally and I'm not writing any of this so that you'll feel sorry for me, but to let you know that if any of you deal with anything similar, you are not alone. I've decided to really get back into sharing more of our life, this is supposed to be a lifestyle blog after all, so here goes. Three weeks ago, I started off with lots of chest pain that went into my back. My face was breaking out and red and I was itching everywhere. At first, I thought I pulled a muscle in my back or maybe even popped my rib out. I had been sneezing and coughing so that would make sense, but it was getting worse. I ... read more
