I’m so excited! My sister-in-law is having a baby! There is nothing more exciting than a new baby and nothing more fun than throwing a baby shower. My sister, aunt and me got the honor of giving her one this Saturday.
Here are some of the pictures from the party and how we decorated. We kept everything really simple, but the results were really pretty. The colors were lavender, light pink, sage green and dark purple (the colors of the new nursery).
The milk bottles were Starbuck fraps drink bottles. I poured white craft paint inside and shook to coat. Then used black craft paint to draw the letters. Super cute!
We had tons of food! I couldn’t stop eating! We even had peas and carrots. They look real don’t they? They’re actually candy that I got a Cracker Barrel. They freaked everyone out a little! It was funny. They were really yummy Jelly Belly candies.
The cake. I was fighting super high, North Carolina humidity when I tried to ice this cake. It was an uphill battle. I found the cake platter at Hobby Lobby and it was less than $2. The topper was a ribbon in the party colors and a pacifier. Inside, I colored the cake and the mini cupcakes pink! She’s having a girl!
My sister and I found alphabet and frosted animal cookies and filled up this jar with the cookies. It was so pretty on the table and gave it the pop of color we needed. Besides they were just plain yummy!
