Today I wanted a burger, but I didn’t have enough ground beef and let’s be honest, I really didn’t want to go to the store. My brakes are shot and the kids (teens) and I were starving after a long morning of End-of-Year testing for our homeschool. So, what to do that’s quick and will use what I already have on hand? I felt like Winnie the Pooh when he has to think really hard! Think…think…think…
So I searched and searched and then I remembered that in my freezer there was this large pack of ground turkey that I bought at an amazing price and was saving it. Saving it for what? I couldn’t remember so it hit me! Today, one pound or so of it became my newest creation…Barbeque Turkey Burgers! Emily’s friend, who’s never had a turkey burger in her life, liked them! Woohoo! I was really nervous because you never know what a teen is going think when you hand them something they’ve never had and even though my kids have had turkey burgers before, these were still different. But they all like them! They were really good and my son, well, he ate two of them! Does that tell you had good they were? They were so juicy! I mean run down your arm juicy! Oh and see the picture of the Macaroni and Cheese that I served with them that was left over from supper last night, it was heavenly!
