With school starting back and the temperatures this week finally below 95 degrees, it’s beginning to feel a little like fall. I’m sure it won’t last long, this is NC where the weather can’t make up its mind. But even the breeze feels a little fall-like and I was inspired to create these cozy printable fall flashcards.
They are so cute! I used a muted color palette and they have a little bit of a boho feel to them. They’re everything we love about fall. Hot chocolate, leaves, apples, and cozy socks. Nothing scary here, just warm pies and maybe a spooky book and a black cat. I happen to have two black cats and they are the sweetest!

I also love the size of these cards. They’re perfect for small hands, which also makes them easy to store. They’re about the same size as a deck of cards. Printing them on cardstock and maybe even laminating them to make them more durable than regular printer paper.
I hope they inspire you and your little ones to learn all about fall while you teach them the alphabet and numbers. Also included is an image for every letter of the alphabet that goes with each letter. The hardest were the letters X and Z. I used equinox (ends in x) and zipper for Z because we were jackets with zippers and jeans with zippers. Those two letters were hard to find fall-inspired words to go with them, so I did my best. There are also the numbers 1-10 with autumn images to count for each number.
I hope you and your littles love these cards as much as I did making them. You can purchase them at my Etsy shop by clicking the button below at the bottom of this page. Happy fall!
