Girlfriends Guide 2

Because Homeschooling Is A Lifestyle

Day 2 of East Coast Homeschool Basketball Championships!

March 18, 2011

All I can say about today is wow!  We started out today with a hard loss to the Lady Knights from Atlanta, Georgia.  We watched our guys fight it out on the court and lose two games.  Final game for the girls…We started out behind and stayed behind for most of the game.  Then in an unexplainable game changer, our girls kicked into hyperdrive for a win at the last second.  Followed by fans, parents, varsity boys rushing the court screaming and cheering!

Now it’s after midnight (we played at 10 pm) and what is everyone doing?  Our guys and girls teams are in a meeting room at the hotel celebrating!  Parents are chatting and hugging the girls, we’re just enjoying the moment.

Tomorrow our Varsity girls will play for the Championship in their division in the Vine Center at Liberty University!  It’s so exciting!  Never let it be said that homeschoolers miss out!  Come to one of these games and just watch any of these teams play and then watch them off the court.  You’ll never say homeschoolers miss out again!

Homeschool sports rock!

My daughter also plays varsity basketball and soccer on a homeschool team in the Chattanooga area. We are blessed to have the sports teams here, since our public/private schools do not allow homeschooler to try out or play for them.

They are a real blessing and I don’t know what I’d do without them. For now you can’t play for public school teams here in NC, but some of the private schools allow them.
