This is how I spent my day today and yesterday evening. I bought this pattern and fabric almost a year ago and now we’re going out of town next week, so I figured it was time to get it finished!
Anyway, my girly-girl (aka. tom girl) needed a new bag to pack in. Fashionable right? Absolutely! And it is so much bigger than it looks! I think half a closest will fit!
It was really easy to make. I used Simplicity pattern #2600-duffel bag.
I recommend buying pre-quilted fabric. We used non-quilted, which meant I had to draw all the quilting lines and then quilt it. That was crazy!
The lettering was iron-on lettering that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. Super cute and easy!
It has a pocket on the inside, a large pocket on the side and a large pocket on the front.
Emily also found a piece of cardboard that fits perfectly into the bottom. She covered it with leftover fabric which she hot glued to the cardboard. This way, the bag has extra stability and will sit flat.
Now she’ll look chic and fab where ever she goes!
