Just a quick thought for today! I was working on our household notebook and ran across the family medical history. I had written it all down a couple of months ago because we had to take our youngest to Duke Children’s Hospital and they wanted a complete medical history. After a lot of help with my aunt, we were able to go back as far as my great-grandmother and great-grandfather. I didn’t get time to type it up, but when I handed it to the doctor, they were very grateful and made a copy for my daughter’s file. Well, today I typed it up all nice and neat and the next time I go to the doctor, I will take a copy for their file on me.
These are unbelievably handy! Type up your’s and keep a printed copy in your household notebook or a file that’s easy to get to. It’s easier in an emergency to rip this out of a notebook or file than try to remember everything you need to in an emergency situation (which I’ve had to do more than I can count).

Great post! When I went for my first prenatal check-up, I think I’ve said ‘not sure’ and ‘don’t know’ many times when my OB asked me about my family’s medical history. Reading this gives me an idea to jot down my family’s medical history. I’m sure this will come in handy when there’s an emergency situation.
Thank you so much and I’m glad I could help! I can’t tell you how many times I said the same things before I had this all written down. Now I need to update it:) Have a wonderful day!
