Because Homeschooling Is A Lifestyle

Have you Been Pinned?

After months of getting invites and seeing it all over Facebook, I finally gave in.  I am falling in love with Pinterest!  Are you pinning yet?  I didn’t get it at first, but now I’m collecting all kinds of ideas.  Just in case you’re not all that sure what Pinterest is for or think it’s just another way of sucking all your time up, here’s how I look at.

Remember ripping photos of a decorating idea out of magazines and putting them in a notebook or file to save?  What about saving a website to favorites that had pictures of a party idea you wanted to try or a hairstyle that you wanted to get when your hair got longer?  What about the recipe you wanted to try, did you print it out or write on a notecard to file away or pin to a bulletin board hoping you’ll remember to try it?

Well, instead collecting websites in favorites, printing out pages of stuff to file away or destroying a magazine, you can Pin It!  When you stumble across a picture on a website that you want to remember, you just click on the Pin It button.  Then it saves it to your board.  The board acts like a bulletin board where you pin your ideas.  You can have tons of different boards for everything you want to pin.  For example:  you can have boards for food, decorating, homeschool, movies you love, books to read, the list goes on.

Right now I’m collecting ideas for a baby shower for my sister-in-law and graduation ideas for my daughter.  I also have a few other fun pins. You can also like someone else’s pins, follow certain boards or follow everything someone pins.

Can it be another time sucker?  Sure it can, but with everything, moderation is key.  It should come with a warning, “Careful, pinning may become addictive!”  It is fun, and I like having my ideas in one place where I know where they are and I don’t have to search all over the place for them.  I love organization and I can organize my ideas to my heart’s content.  Want to check it out?  Just click on my Pinterest button and see what I’ve been pinning.
