Tomorrow, our family (us and our team the Stallions) will be on the road again. We will be traveling to play one of the toughest teams in basketball, the Asheville Trailblazers. It’s an important game and we’ll give them a good run for their money because our team is one of the toughest too.
You see, our family is really big for homeschool sports. Please don’t get homeschool sports confused with rec. ball. This is all out, competitive, high school basketball in all its glory. In North Carolina, homeschool sports are huge! Our scores and wins are proudly announced in the newspapers here. We are fortunate to be a part of one of the largest homeschool athletic associations in the nation. Ok, now I’m bragging a bit! Please forgive me!
For our family, we eat, sleep, and yes travel for homeschool sports. We are not alone. I’m always amazed at how big the crowds are that follow all of these teams! So tomorrow, we play against a rival team, but we also get to see our friends that we’ve made along the way; and that is what homeschool sports are about.
Wow, I had no idea that somewhere there were homeschool sports athletic associations and that the teams would be in the newspaper! That’s a far cry from our part of IN. It sounds like fun! I am stopping by from HHH.
Thanks for stopping by! Homeschool sports are huge in this area and it’s growing. We don’t get as much coverage as public schools, but every year the coverage is better. It is a lot of fun to be a part of it!
