I have joined RewardStyle and a few other affiliate networks so that I can really start doing fashion, makeup, and home decor posts again. I've really missed doing them and just didn't have the time. But now my life has really changed and I have more time to concentrate and I want to be able to bring you some really great products and wanted you to be able to shop for them immediately. One thing to remember, when you purchase through my blog, I ... read more

My new skincare favorites for February
“This post may be sponsored or contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link. See my full disclosure here.” These products are definitely winter skin must-haves and since trying them out, they've become favorites and will be in my skincare routine from now on. To give you an idea of what I deal with during the winter months and pretty much year-round with my skin, I suffer with extremly dry skin and lots of redness. I also have dark circles and puffy eyes. What's the worst though, is the redness and the hives I get from super sensitive skin and allergies. It doesn't take much to aggrevate my skin and ... read more
What it’s like for me to live with Ehlers Danlos
This week is Rare Disease Week and I've often talked about how this disease affects one of my daughters, but today I'm going to talk about how this disease affects me. When my daughter was diagnosed, I was basically diagnosed. In other words, after years of trying to figure out what was going on with our daughter, a doctor at Duke Children's Hospital figured it out. You can read more about her story here. To make a long story short, the doctor told us that this disease is genetic and inherited, so she proceeded to ask me and Todd a series of "Who can do this? Who has these symptoms?" questions and my hand was the only one popping up. The doctor looked at me and said, "Well we know who ... read more
What I’m Reading: The Weekly Gratitude Project
“This post may be sponsored or contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link. See my full disclosure here.” After the past year, I really felt like I needed a new type of devotional, something that was different. I think we're all looking for something different in just about every aspect of our lives after the events of 2020. It was a crazy hard year and this year has started off with a bang for our family personally. This is really going to be a difficult year for us. So it's really no surprise that I was really craving a different type of devotional. I wanted something that was very focused and ... read more
DIY Romantic and Simple Farmhouse Valentine’s Day Wreath
“This post may be sponsored or contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link. See my full disclosure here.” The Christmas decorations finally went up in mid-January and I've realized that it's time to decorate for Valentine's Day. I usually don't do a whole lot of decorating for Valentine's, but this year, I feel like I just want to make each holiday as special as possible. Probably because here in NC, we are still in a modified stay-at-home order so that means more time at home. Plus we were just quarantined because my hubby tested positive, but he was great. No symptoms except a little cough and he's ... read more
Going crazy homeschooling? Here’s my advice to help you keep going when you’re at wit’s end
So, you've been stuck at home for eons (ok, months) with your kids and you feel like jumping off the bridge right about now. Step away from the bridge! I'm here to talk you down. Whether you are a homeschooler and you chose to stay at home with your kids, or you are now schooling at home due to the pandemic, or some other situation, you may reach critical mass at some point. That point where everything seems loud, overwhelming and you just want to curl up in a ball on the floor and cry. And not just cry, ugly cry. It's either that or you're ready to run out the door screaming and jump off that bridge! It's ok. We've all been there. Sometimes we have this perfect image in our head ... read more
My Tips for Planning Thanksgiving Dinner in a Hurry
This year, trying to plan Thanksgiving has been a little nuts to say the least. Besides planning around Covid, my hubby and kids have insane work schedules. I honestly thought we'd be doing our Thanksgiving over the weekend after Thanksgiving day, so I even put our 11 pound turkey in the freezer. Then my son called on Sunday night wanting to know when we were doing our Thanksgiving dinner. After polling everyone, the only time we could do it was Monday night. In other words, I had 24 hours to pull off a Thanksgiving Feast and the turkey was in the freezer! The first thing I did was have a slight panic attack, trying to figure out how in the world I was going to be able to do this? I ... read more
Why You Need a Thanksgiving Planner for a Stress-free Holiday
I love the holidays! But gosh they can be exhausting and insanely stressful! Trying to keep up with everything can be overwhelming. When I was a kid the holidays just seemed magical. Everything just sort of appeared out of nowhere. I remember my mom cooking a few things, but by the time we loaded the car to go, there was a ton of food! Where did it come from? My cousins and I would joke about how we never saw our grandmother or our moms make anything, especially the dressing (we have a serious addiction to it) and it would magically just be there every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I guess that's because on Thanksgiving morning, I'd wake up and watch the Macy's Day Parade and I ... read more
End of Season Shoe Steals
If there is something good to come of out of this quarantine season, it's deals on clothing and shoes. The stores are still trying to get rid of everything from the end of 2019 and it's now fall ya'll. The clearance racks have been amazing! At least where I'm from. I'm using this to my advantage. For years I've put off buying for myself and updating my wardrobe, but no more. So, I've been buying specific pieces I've found on sale, like these adorable shoes! I can not believe the deals that I've gotten them at. I may have to expand my closet! The funny thing is, on this particular day, I wasn't looking for myself at all. I was along for the ride with my daughter. Isn't that ... read more
