I have found a super cool website that I have to share with you! It’s called SlimKicker, I’ll be reviewing the site and posting updates as I go along on “My Skinny List“ journey. I just signed up today and I must say it was really easy and no hard questions to answer about yourself. Just your username, password, height, current weight and your goal weight.
What this site does is give you points based on what you’ve done. For example, I went ahead and entered into the Log Exercise from my dashboard, that I did two hours of volleyball today. I haven’t done it yet, but I do have a two-hour practice this afternoon, so there’s no getting out of it. I got 140 points that will go towards rewards. Yes, rewards! I can create my own rewards by clicking on the picture on my dashboard. I can choose from pictures of rewards on their site or I can upload my own picture of a reward that I want. How cool is that? Like say I lose 10 pounds, I might want to reward myself with a new pair of jeans. I can upload a picture of the pink jeans that I saw in a store or website and upload it there to remind me to keep working hard for them. Right now, my reward for when I reach level 2 is a new fall edition of Maybelline’s Color Tattoo eyeshadow. How is that a reward? It is eyeshadow after all. Because the new fall colors are amazing and they are limited edition and they are flying off the shelves. You can’t find them anywhere! I could even use the pictures of my Pinterest where I put “My Skinny List” in pictures as my reward pictures.
There are challenges you can participate in also that have their own rewards or you can create your challenge. The challenges look really neat. There are tons to choose from. They range from really easy, drinking 8 glasses of water a day, or really hard, doing P90x workouts. Each has their own reward points value. Or you can create your own challenge. I’ll have to do some thinking about which challenge I want to start with.
The site explains it’s like a video game, you get to level up and earn points and rewards. Check out the About Us section for more information. So far, I’m really impressed and it takes a lot to impress me with weight loss sites. But this one looks like fun and I need something to help me be accountable. I think this might be the motivational trick I need. If you’ve been following my posts about “My Skinny List” then you know motivation is a big thing for me. I get sidetracked really easy like I have ADD when it comes to exercising! So maybe this will work. I’m gonna try it out, reviewing along the way with updates and if you decide to try it out let me know. We can even friend each other on the site! Maybe we can come up with some challenges just for those of us working on a Skinny List. Sounds like fun, I mean a challenge! Check it out and let me know what you think.
