These are pictures of the spring flowers that were made for my mom. My Aunt Kitty made these last spring and were lovingly stored so that we could use them again. They’re so pretty! It shows just how much she loves her little sister, my mom.
They were in such good shape that all I had to do was replace a few of the flowers that had faded; mostly the pale yellow ones and a little bird where the butterfly is now.
My aunt loves to use greenery, so the base is covered with it. She used lots of fern. The flowers are different colors of large tulips, daisies in soft white and purple. She used lots of yellows, purple, lavender, soft whites. I added in some sprigs of dark purple and hot pinks. Just make sure your arrangement is full!
This gives you a close up from the side. We always add something to make it personal. See the butterfly!
I made matching arrangements for the side vases. Each with their own butterfly. I used a cone shaped green Styrofoam floral base and stuffed in as many flowers as it could hold. Make sure that you have it filled out at the top of the Styrofoam so that you can’t see the base. In other words, place your flowers so that you can’t see the top of the base.
This is a labor of love and an honor to make these for my mom.
I enjoyed stopping by your blog. The flowers are beautiful and I am sure your mom loved them:0) I am also a big fan of homeschooling! I will be back! I am a new follower from the blog hop. Please follow me back at my blog, fB or twitter! Blessings, Kori
