This strawberry and cranberry smoothie is sweet and creamy and just a tiny tart! I love smoothies! My son Spencer loves apple juice. Apple juice is what I use in my smoothies. But almost every time I go to make a smoothie the apple juice has mysteriously vanished. Today was no exception. So what am I supposed to do? How do I make a smoothie with no apple juice?
Then I discovered something hiding behind the tea in the fridge, cranberry juice! Let’s be honest here, the only reason I have cranberry juice is to mix with Sprite or ginger ale for an issue that us girls get on occasion. I’m not a huge fan of cranberry juice. But I was willing to try it. I was so surprised! I think I might like it better in my smoothie than apple juice! I love how the tartness of the cranberries goes so well with the sweetness of the strawberries! Here’s what I did…

Yummy Strawberry and Cranberry Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1-2 scoops frozen vanilla yogurt it depends on how big your scoops are and how thick you like your smoothie
- 1 container Dole single serving frozen strawberries
- 1 container ice
- 1/4 cup cranberry juice
Instructions
-
Put everything in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. I added the strawberries first so they are closet to the blades and get blended smoother. Then I added the ice, yogurt and then juice. Blend away!
Recipe Notes
If your smoothie is too thick add a little more juice, if it’s too thin add a little more yogurt. I put mine in a pretty glass just to make it extra special!
